Performs a variety of tasks in support of the department including, but not limited to: cleaning and assisting in maintaining all areas of the department in a sanitary condition including heavy cleaning, receiving and storing departmental supplies and food, and washing dishes, pots, and pans.

Requires the ability to read, write and perform basic addition and subtraction. Requires the ability to comply with basic oral and written instructions. Requires knowledge such as that which would normally be acquired upon the completion of a ninth grade education, but less than that acquired upon completing a high school education or equivalent.

Responsible for the preparation of quality foods for patients, employees, and guests. High school degree or GED diploma is required. May require up to l year of technical or other specialized training, such as knowledge of cooking/baking. Requires the ability to read and write; and knowledge of grammar, and arithmetic including fractions and decimals. May require the use of standard office/medical equipment (i.e., typewriter, personal computer, data terminal, on-line printer, calculator, telephone, facsimile, copier, sterilizing equipment, blood pressure cuff, or tables); the preparation, comparison or checking of reports, records and related data; and basic use of formulas, charts, tables, drawings and knowledge of their application.
