This is a non-paid position under the direct guidance and supervision of a certified audiologist or speech-language pathologist, incumbent provides audiology or speech language pathology diagnostic evaluations/treatment on in- and out- patients of all ages. Volunteering in Hearing & Speech involves helping out in various areas including but not limited to: dispensing of hearing aids and infant hearing screening, evaluation and therapy of patients with speech, language, voice and/or swallowing disorders, counsel's patients regarding test results, prepares progress notes, and other projects as appropriate, all under the supervision of the department manager/instructor/preceptor.
